You could say that SKR founder Rami Katzav has builder’s dust in his blood. The son of a high-quality home builder, Rami began his career in the real estate business before teaming up with his dad to incorporate SKR Unique Homes in 1987.

In the early days, SKR mainly built new homes for resale, but by the early nineties, Rami began devoting more energy to working with individual clients. ”It’s very satisfying to me,” he says, “both from the standpoint of building a reputation, and the ability to work with the best architects, designers, master tradespeople—some of whom have been with us for many years--and of course, clients.

“More than anything,” he says, “what SKR offers is peace of mind. There are so many worries when a client enters this road, and when you truly feel you can trust the company you’re working with, it frees your mind. In the end, this is what SKR is really all about.”
